In Japan, a 90-year-old woman was pulled alive from the rubble of a two-story building five days after a devastating earthquake.
Rescuers found a woman in the city of Suzu, Ishikawa Prefecture, 124 hours after the earthquake, Japanese public broadcaster NHK reported.
It took several hours to free the woman, because her knees were stuck under the furniture in a very narrow space between the first and second floors, rescuer Kume Takanori said.
The victim was taken to the nearest hospital. Now the woman feels well and can even talk, but her legs are injured.
