Mariupol journalist, writer and engineer Yury Nekrasovskyi died on January 7 in Kyiv region, the Mariupol website 0629.com.ua reported. In 2022, he was miraculously taken out of the occupied city.

In 1962, Yuriy Nekrasovsky was the first to found a tourist club in Mariupol. He was actively engaged in the development of tourism – first at the Azovmash machine-building plant, and later at the city level.

Nekrasovsky was also the author of several books. The last of them, “Fiery Century”, was written for the 100th anniversary of the Ilyich plant in 1997.

“I became a hostage of the Russians and starved for almost two weeks. This nightmare (the scoundrels from the Russian administration called it “feeding”) – once a day at 4:00 p.m. in the form of one glass of drink with 4-5 pasta, 2-3 pieces of potatoes . .5 kg of weight, I didn’t feel anything anymore.” Nekrasovsky said.

He was accidentally found in the hospital by a former tourist. Her friends took the journalist to his acquaintances, who helped him leave the occupation.

Yury Nekrasovsky was taken to Kyiv region. 40 kilometers from the capital, he was allocated a separate modular house, built specifically for displaced persons. However, Yuri Yakovych lived there for only 2 days.
