A rare 18-meter long whale has been found dead on a beach during a storm in the UK.

Finval was stranded in shallow water on a beach in Fife. Shortly after that, he died, writes The Telegraph.

The whale was one of approximately 100,000 adult fin whales listed as vulnerable worldwide.

It was probably stranded due to the recent storms that swept the country.

The Fife Coast and Countryside Trust said they were aware of the situation and were making plans to transport the mammal.

Due to the terrain’s inaccessibility and frequent high tides, they advised the public to stay away from Finwal.

A decision on what to do with the whale will be made next week“, says the head of the Coast and Countryside Foundation, Robbie Blyth.

He added that disposal strategies for the mammal include burying the body, transporting it to a landfill or incinerator or towing it back to sea.

We will remind, in the south of Spain, a 200-kilogram shark with a bloody mouth was washed up on the beach. Vacationers tried to return the two-meter long predator to the sea, but they did not succeed.

And in Scotland, more than 50 pilot whales, which are also called round-headed whales or black dolphins, washed ashore en masse.

In Australia, about a hundred whales washed ashore. More than 50 of them died.
