A student of Moscow State University was sentenced to ten days in prison for calling his Wi-Fi network a pro-Ukrainian slogan “Slava Ukraine!” (“Glory to Ukraine!”).

In the district court of Moscow declaredthat he “committed an administrative offense and publicly demonstrated the paraphernalia of extremist organizations.”

According to the documents, local policemen drew attention to the name of the boy’s network, after which the student was taken into custody, and his room was searched. Personal computer, laptop and Wi-Fi– the router was confiscated.

The court documents claim that the student used his Wi-Fi network “for the purpose of propagating the slogan “Glory to Ukraine” to an unlimited number of users within the Wi-Fi access signal of the ideology of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists.”
