Indie group “Komsomolsk” announced the termination of concerts shortly after the trip to Mariupol

The Moscow indie group “Komsomolsk” announced the termination of concert activities. Before that, she canceled several concerts in the regions. The group’s statement says: “The future is uncertain, and the songs of Komsomolska come from another time and another reality.”

The group was founded in 2017. In 2024, it consisted of two musicians: Darya Deryugina and Aryna Andreeva. The Spotify service reports that about 158 ​​thousand people listen to its collective in a month. Another 380 thousand are subscribed to him in “Yandex.Muzyke”.

In February, the publication “Meduza” announced that the group was included in the list of artists that the Kremlin called promoters undesirable for the performance. The authenticity of the list was not confirmed, some of its participants continue to give concerts. After that, the musicians of “Komsomolsk” performed in Melitopol in the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine. Moscow announced the annexation of the region, the city is controlled by the Russian administration.

There they played in front of preschool children in the orphanage and schoolchildren and students in the youth center. “We have made our choice and want to live in our country, with our people, with our problems and our joys. And we will help people with everything we can, and specifically in our case – with songs,” the musicians said at the time.

“Novaya gazeta Evropa” wrote “Novaya Gazeta Evropa” wrote that this caused disapproval on the part of their worshipers. Now “Komsomolsk” reported that one of the reasons for stopping the performances were the contradictions between the former and current members of the team.
