The total eclipse path will begin in Texas and pass through the states of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

This year’s eclipse is expected to be more prominent than the previous one in 2017, with the path of totality nearly 60% wider and the duration about 60% longer.
It is noted that in some places people will be able to observe the eclipse for up to four and a half minutes.
“When the sun’s disk is completely covered by the moon, day turns into night in a matter of seconds. It becomes dark enough to see the stars in the sky. Most people react very emotionally to this cosmic phenomenon.”, – said Fred Espenak, a former astrophysicist at NASA’s Space Flight Center.
A number of television channels, including ABC, ABC News Live and the National Geographic Channel and Disney+, will reportedly broadcast the eclipse live across America.
