A 16-year-old girl was hit by a train in Lviv Oblast: the police are investigating

In the Lviv region, a 16-year-old student was run over by a train, as a result of which the girl died. The girl lived in the village of Ozhidiv in the Zolochiv district and studied in the second year of one of the Lviv universities, the police of the Lviv region reported. The body was discovered on September 18 at a race in the native village of the deceased. The police are investigating. “The investigative team and other employees of police department No. 2 of the Zolochiv district police department worked at the scene. Investigators of the Zolochiv District Department have opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 276 (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of railway, water or air transport) of the Criminal Code. The sanction of the article for the perpetrator provides imprisonment for a period of 5 to 10 years. “Law enforcement officers once again appeal to citizens – be as attentive and careful as possible while on the railway tracks, cross them only in the prescribed months, making sure that there is no train.
