American Don Gorski set a new world record by eating 34,128 Big Macs in his lifetime. Every day, a 70-year-old man ate from two to nine burgers.

In the book of records, it was calculated that in 2023 alone, a man ate 728 Big Macs, writes The Guardian.

Gorski set his first record in 1999, when he received the title of world record holder for the largest number of Big Macs eaten in a lifetime. As of 2011, the man had eaten 25,000 burgers.

“I’m 70 and a lot of people thought I should have died a long time ago because of my addiction to fast food”– the man joked in an interview published in the Guinness Book of Records.

It is known that the prison officer Don Gorski only likes burgers from fast food, but he does not eat french fries at all.

He used to eat nine Big Macs a day, but recently that number has been reduced to two.

According to Gorski, his love for burgers began after he ate his first Big Mac on May 17, 1972.

“At that point, I said to myself, ‘I’m probably going to eat these for the rest of my life.’said the man.

It is noted that the record was recorded by counting receipts and boxes from under burgers, which were kept by Gorski.

According to the record holder, his portrait hangs in the McDonald’s restaurant closest to his home. He proposed to his future wife, Mary, in the parking lot of this facility.

Don Gorski says Mary supported him in his pursuit of the world record. However, the road to the record was not easy.

Gorsky’s mother prevented a certain period of love for fast food. But in the end, the family found a compromise – the husband promised to eat something other than Big Macs every day.

However, in 1981, the man’s mother called off the bet, saying: “If they haven’t killed you yet, go for it“.

For now, Gorski keeps himself physically fit by giving up breakfast, fries and other Big Mac side dishes. He also walks up to 10 kilometers every day.

A man goes to McDonald’s twice a week – first he eats one, and then he orders a batch of Big Macs, which he takes home.

We used to reportedthat the Guinness Book of Records deprived the Portuguese dog Bobi of the status of the oldest in the world.
