A case of viral hepatitis A was registered in the Lutsk district of Volyn.

An adult fell ill, the Volyn Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports.

An epidural investigation was conducted in the center of the disease, a circle of contact persons was established, and medical supervision is ongoing.

All were tested for hepatitis A. The results were negative.

Volodymyr Lotvin, the head of the Lutsk health department, emphasized that the situation is under control.

Outbreaks of viral hepatitis A were not registered in the city for 9 months of 2023. One case of viral hepatitis A was registered in Lutsk community in November of this year“, he noted.

We will remind you that an outbreak of hepatitis A was recorded in the Vinnytsia region on October 24. At that time, 60 people with a confirmed diagnosis were hospitalized, including 14 children.

However, the number of patients continued to grow.

On October 31, the region declared a state of emergency and intensified anti-epidemic measures due to an outbreak of hepatitis A.

Isolated cases of the disease were recorded in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Transcarpathian and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
