A criminal case has been initiated against the leader of the “Unfortunate Accident” group, Alexey Kortnev, on the article of insulting a representative of the authorities. This was reported to TASS by the musician himself.
According to him, the case was initiated after the February incident in Novosibirsk. Then the police broke up the “Unfortunate Accident” concert at the Red Rabbit club in Novosibirsk’s Akademgorodok – under the pretext of smoke in the adjacent room. According to the telegram channel “Kulturka Novosibirsk”, Kortnev allegedly made an indecent gesture towards the policeman after the concert was disrupted.
“I will meet with my lawyer, fly to Novosibirsk. All actions will take place within the framework of the law. I believe [уголовное преследование] absolutely undeserved,” Kortnev told TASS.
According to the agency, the case is being processed by the department of the Investigative Committee for the investigation of particularly important cases.
Alexey Kortnev takes an anti-war position and criticizes the Russian authorities for the war in Ukraine. “We are convinced that all the phrases that in this way Russia restores some kind of historical justice and protects the brothers of the Slavs from the fascists are only a cover for the satisfaction of imperial plans and ambitions, which in addition will lead to very large economic, political and social problems,” Kortneva quotes publication “Taiga.info”. It was reported that his concerts were canceled in various regions of Russia.
