A man from Australia who tried to swim across the ocean was rescued

Tom Robinson wanted to become the youngest person to cross the Pacific Ocean. But his dreams were dashed because the boat capsized.

The rower was saved by a cruise ship. It was spotted 185 km from Vanuatu. They came to help after an emergency call from Robinson at 5:00 p.m.
The lighthouse alerted the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. It contacted the local authorities. The rescue operation was conducted by the coordination center of New Caledonia in Noumea. The French Navy also provided air support.

It was the plane that noticed the desperate man standing on the overturned hull of his boat. He was assisted by the P&O ship Pacific Explorer, which made a round trip on the planned course.
According to the BBC, the man had only sunburn and dehydration. In general, his condition was satisfactory. On board the rescue ship Tom was provided with everything necessary.
Tom Robinson was on his last leg of his journey across the Pacific Ocean, which he started in Peru. He wanted to make landfall in Queensland by December. But it didn’t work out.
The rescue ship is on its way to Auckland – will be there in a few days. From there, Robinson is due to fly home to Brisbane.
