The prosecutor’s office said that the “green room” is a special safe place for interviewing a child who has become a witness or victim of a crime. Interviews are conducted in such a way as to prevent retraumatization. “The “green room” itself resembles an ordinary children’s room. It contains toys, upholstered furniture of various sizes, paints, pencils, etc. And the conversation with the child is automatically recorded,” the prosecutor’s office explained. The law enforcement officers added that thanks to these audio and video recordings, it is possible to avoid repeated interrogations of the child by other participants in the process and his return to traumatic events. The priest should be deprived of his freedom for a period of 5 to 8 years. The Children’s Service will decide on the issue of establishing temporary custody of children. As the prosecutor’s office explained, according to the law, the brother can become a guardian, but this will be decided during the trial of the case in court and the deprivation of the priest’s parental rights.
