In Lviv, a man was sentenced for stealing mats for wiping feet in front of the entrance to the “Ashan” supermarket and the polyclinic. The Shevchenkiv District Court of Lviv sentenced the man to 2 years of probation. According to the case file, a resident of Khmelnytskyi region first stole a mat for wiping feet from under the door of the polyclinic on the morning of March 3. On March 6, he again went on a crime spree and stole two mats for wiping feet, which were lying in front of the entrance to the Auchan supermarket on Chornovola Avenue. It is noted that the convicted man is unemployed, but has a higher education and had no problems with the law before. At the court session on April 28 in the Shevchenkiv court, the man fully admitted his guilt and asked not to be severely punished. He was sentenced to five years in prison, but the sentence was reduced to two years of probation.
