A young couple who forced an acquaintance to provide sex services was detained in Kyiv

In Kyiv, they detained two roommates who forced their acquaintance to provide sex services under the pretext of a fictitious debt.

The girl’s documents were taken away and she was threatened with violence, reported in the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation, a 24-year-old man and his 23-year-old roommate invited a 20-year-old acquaintance from the Poltava region to visit them in Kyiv. When the girl arrived in the capital, they took her documents and forced her to provide sex services for money.

The suspect was looking for “clients” – she posted ads on the Internet. Her roommate organized “meetings” – rented apartments and managed finances.

In addition, the defendants demanded that the girl return the fictitious debt, which is why they took all the money she received from “clients”.

In phone conversations, the records of which are in the possession of law enforcement officers, the suspects intimidated the girl, humiliated her and threatened to kill her.

During the searches, draft notes with “customer” numbers and “estimates”, mobile phones, a laptop with correspondence, money in different currencies and two cars were seized from the residents.

“They found a significant amount of funds, that is, their “business” was quite “successful” from a financial point of view. However, the exact amount is still unknown.” – spokeswoman of the city prosecutor’s office Iryna Vynokurova said in a comment for “UP. Life”.

The perpetrators were charged under Part 2 of Article 149 (human trafficking) and Part 2 of Article 303 (pimping or involving a person in prostitution) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

According to the first article, they face imprisonment from five to twelve years, according to the second – from four to seven years.
