“With deep sadness and pain, the staff of the Kharkiv Academic Drama Theater informs about the death of our colleague, Honored Artist of Ukraine Victoria Mykolaivna Tymoshenko, caused by injuries as a result of an enemy attack on Kharkiv“, the theater informed.
They also expressed their condolences to the family and friends of the actress.
In addition, Tymoshenko’s death was reported to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
“Honored artist of Ukraine Viktoria Tymoshenko died from injuries received on January 2 as a result of a rocket attack on Kharkiv. An 84-year-old woman’s heart stopped in the hospital on January 4“, OVA reported.
About Victoria Tymoshenko
Victoria Tymoshenko was born on August 18, 1939.
In 1960, she graduated from the theater studio at the Dagestan State Theater of Makhachkala.
In 1968, she started working at the Kharkiv Academic Drama Theater (formerly the Kharkiv State Academic Russian Drama Theater named after Pushkin). Over the years of work here, she played numerous roles: Sofya Ivanovna (“Old Maid” by Ptushkina), Madame Sivel (“My Parisian” by Lamoureux), Burykina (“Jester Balakirev” by Horina), Rosalia (“Filumena Marturano” by Ed. de Filippo), Thekla Ivanivna (“Marriage” by Gogol), Golda, (“Memorial prayer” by Sholom Aleichem), Mamasha (“Clinical case” by Cooney), Miss Motmorency (“Beauty and family” by Maugham), Nana (“37 postcards” McKeever) and many others.

Recently, Tymoshenko was retired. The last time she appeared on the stage was about 10-15 years ago, the director of the drama theater Serhii Moskalenko told Suspilne Kharkiv.
“Do you know what is the most terrible, what is the evil smile of fate? She worked all her life in the theater of Russian drama. As if popularizing the Russian word, as a result she was killed by a Russian missile“, Moskalenko noted.
