Ada Rogovtseva suggests renaming Nimanska Street in Kyiv after “Da Vinci”

Actress Ada Rogovtseva submitted a petition to rename Nimanska Street in Kyiv in honor of the fallen commander of the Da Vinci Wolves special unit Dmytro Kotsyubail. The corresponding petition with the proposal appeared on the website of the Kyiv City Council and in the first few hours gathered the required number of votes. In the description of the petition, Ada Rogovtseva emphasized that “Kyiv should honor the Heroes who gave their lives for the Independence of Ukraine,” and not Russian toponyms. Nimanska Street in the Pechersk District of Kyiv is named after the Niman River, which flows through the Kaliningrad Region of Russia. Dmytro Kotsyubailo with the nickname “Da Vinci” met the full-scale invasion of the Russians (Dmytro Kotsyubailo – ed.) on the front line. He commanded the battalion in most of the hottest points of the war: Pology, Novy Bykiv, Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Serebryanka, Bakhmut, Balaklia, Kupyansk and many others. I believe that the name of Dmytro Kotsyubail should be honored in the urban space of Kyiv,” the actress wrote.
