Alexey Kortnev, the soloist of the band “Neschastnyi slasov”, recorded a video apology to the policeman to whom he showed an “indecent gesture” after the aborted concert. The musician said that he regrets what happened and has already apologized to the policeman personally. The recording was posted on Instagram.

56-year-old Kortnev takes an anti-war position, criticizes the Russian authorities for the war in Ukraine. Several concerts of his group were canceled. In February, a concert in Novosibirsk was interrupted by the police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, under the pretext of smoking in a nearby room.

After the failed performance, Kortnev was detained. Then he showed the policeman a gesture for which he now apologizes. A criminal case was initiated against the musician under the article of insulting a representative of the authorities.

In the Investigative Committee, the department of particularly important cases was investigating the incident, TASS reported. The maximum penalty for this article is up to a year of correctional labor. Kotnev called the persecution undeserved.
