Animal rights activists are looking for the family of the dog Charlie from Druzhkivka. The dog has a difficult fate: he lived with defenders on the front line, but got under the wheels of a car.

The dog’s story was told at the NGO for the protection of animal rights URSA.

“Charlie is a handsome man from Druzhkivka, a breed of East Siberian Laika, who was faced with a difficult test“, the post says.

As local residents told the volunteers, the dog wandered to the front-line soldiers and lived with him in the barracks for some time. Then the boys left, and he stayed.

Charlie wandered through the city, and then got under the wheels of a car. He was saved by military personnel who were passing by – they handed the tailed dog to Yulia Gavrilova, a volunteer. She immediately took the dog to the vet clinic.

“The veterinarian established that the dog’s upper canines were broken mechanically: it probably tried to get out from somewhere by biting through the metal bars. Also, an X-ray showed a fracture of the right hind paw“, the animal rights activists continue.

In Kramatorsk, Charlie was operated on, a titanium plate was placed on him.

“The bone has grown. After 3 weeks, the dog began to stand on its paws, and now it is already running“, the volunteers share.

According to the veterinarian, the dog is only 4-5 years old.

Now Charlie is on respite, living in a warm shed of a private house. This is the best place we have found for him so far.

Volunteers made an announcement about finding a family for the tailed man and hope that those who care will respond.

“Friends, we ask you to repost and help this wonderful baby meet his person”, said the NGO.
