The attack on the theater took place on March 16 around 10 am. During the attack, there were still hundreds of civilians in and around the theater, and the “evacuation” was ongoing. Russian tactical aircraft most likely dropped two 500-kilogram bombs on the theater. Immediately after the attack, the Mariupol City Council announced that about 300 people had died.
