Because of the war, the average age of patients with a diagnosed stroke could probably decrease by approximately 10-15 years. This is reported in the Ministry of Health. According to the Ministry of Health, the number of stroke patients will increase by 16% in 2023. Currently, updated routes for patients with strokes have been put into operation. This contributes to the reduction of mortality and disability. We previously reported that every citizen has the right to free treatment of an acute stroke in healthcare facilities. The free assistance package includes, in particular: ✅ diagnosis; ✅ performing thrombolytic therapy; ✅ stay in the intensive care unit; ✅ rehabilitation; ✅ minimally invasive vascular surgery; ✅food in the hospital.
