At least 30 mental health centers will be launched in Ukraine by the end of 2025

By the end of 2025, at least 30 mental health centers will be launched in Ukraine on the basis of cluster hospitals.
Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko said this during the “Ukraine. Year 2024” forum, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
According to him, every third family doctor currently provides psychological help.
“The next step is to create a network of psychiatric centers based on cluster hospitals. We plan to have at least 30 by the end of the year,” – noted Lyashko.
In addition, 12 sanatoriums are planned to be repurposed into full-fledged psychological rehabilitation centers.
According to the minister, in 2023, more than 320,000 patients sought psychological help.
It will be recalled that the Ministry of Health announced its intention to create mental health centers in January 2024. They will be one of the structural divisions of hospitals and will be financed within the framework of the Medical Guarantee Program.
In such centers, it will be possible to receive psychological support and help from psychologists and psychotherapists free of charge.
