American actor Carl Weathers died at the age of 76. He is known for his roles in the films “Rocky”, “Predator” and others.

The actor’s death was announced by his family. He is survived by two sons, writes The Guardian.

The role of Apollo Creed in the first four Rocky films brought Weathers the greatest fame. He is also known for playing in the movie “Predator” with Arnold Schwarzenegger. According to the BBC, during his more than 50-year career in Hollywood, Weathers appeared in more than 75 films and TV shows.

In 2021, the actor was nominated for an Emmy Award for his role in the TV series The Mandalorian.

Weathers directed two episodes of Star Wars, as well as episodes of Law & Order and Doctors of Chicago.

He was also known for the films “Jackson Nicknamed the Motor”, “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”, “Eight Crazy Nights”, “Nikki the Devil Junior” and voice acting in the franchise “Toy Story”.

Adam Sandler paid tribute to the actor with the following words:
