Yuliya Dryga, chief state inspector of the administrative and economic activity department of the Lviv customs office, got into a scandal because of a video on TikTok. In it, the official said that her clothes cost more than 8 thousand dollars.

Because of this, the inspector was fired, reported Acting Chief of Lviv Customs Andriy Kuznik.

The scandal arose because of a video with the participation of Yulia Dryga. In it, blogger Nicholas Karma asks the official about the cost of her image.

In the video, Dryga willingly talks about her clothes and accessories, in particular:

  • a hat by Ukrainian designer Ruslan Baginsky for 18,000 hryvnias;
  • a Louis Vuitton bag for 1.5 thousand dollars;
  • $800 Hermes boots;
  • a Cartier watch for $5,000;
  • a $200 Gucci dog leash;
  • jacket and leggings from mass markets – 2 and 1.5 thousand hryvnias, respectively.

When asked by a blogger what she does, Yuliya Dryga replied that she works “a little for herself, a little for the state.”

In 2023, Yulia Dryga declared 136,000 hryvnias of salary at customs, 3,000 dollars of savings, which she keeps in cash, and 41,000 hryvnias received from private entrepreneur Yulia Filipovska.

After publicity, Yulia Dryga was released from Lviv Customs. As the head of the institution, Andriy Kuznik, said, she wrote an application for dismissal “by agreement of the parties”.

Before that, the inspector gave an explanation to the Department for Prevention of Corruption. They were sent to the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption for verification.

To the journalist Taras Seredych, who drew attention to the video with the official, Yulia Dryga herself toldthat the Cartier watch is actually a copy, and the Louis Vuitton bag is from an old collection, bought a long time ago with money from a business (online store).

“At the same time, to my specific question: “Which of all that you mentioned in the video is the original?” the girl answered: “Nothing!” – Seredych added.

We will remind you that it is a journalistic investigation showedthat the rector of Taras Shevchenko KNU purchased luxury apartments in a Kyiv residential complex for 3.5 million hryvnias.
