“Diya” launched a poll about March 8

Diya launched a survey where Ukrainians can decide whether to keep International Women’s Day on March 8 as a day off. Every vote in “Diya” will be taken into account before the adoption of the draft law in the Verkhovna Rada on the cancellation of this holiday. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov in his Telegram channel. In the mobile application, Ukrainians are offered to answer the question – should March 8 be a holiday? Citizens can choose one of three answer options: this day must be a working day, we leave it as a weekend, I can’t decide. “In most countries, March 8 is a working day, but in the post-Soviet countries it is an official day off,” People’s Deputy Maryna Bardina said in a video on the app. The poll will run from February 28 to March 6. We will remind you that a draft law was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, which proposes to cancel March 8, May 1, and May 9, and to introduce three new holidays instead.
