“Dune 2” surpassed the box office result of the first film

The box office fees of the second part are 205 million dollars at the box office in North America and 289.4 million dollars from foreign rental. Ochon Monday, the total is expected to surpass the $500 million mark, a figure that few films have managed to achieve in the post-pandemic era.

Outside of the US and Canada, Dune: Part Two is the biggest box office success in China ($36 million), the UK ($32.8 million), Germany ($25 million), France ($24.9 million) and Australia ($15.6 million).

“Dune: Part Two” (Dune: Part Two) – the sequel to the film “Dune” (2021) by the Canadian director Denis Villeneuve. The films are adaptations of Frank Herbert’s cult novel. Filming of the second “Dune” lasted from July to December 2022. The tape was shot in Italy, Hungary, Abu Dhabi and Namibia.

Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment spent $190 million on the film’s production and an additional approximately $100 million on the film’s promotion.

The premiere of the second film was postponed at least three times: first “Dune: Part two” was supposed to be released on October 20, 2023, then it was postponed to November, and finally to March 2024.
