The Russians allegedly took 17 children with disabilities from the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region for rehabilitation.

They were sent to the “Ogonyok” rehabilitation center near Moscow, according to Dmytro Lubinets, the Human Rights Commissioner of the Supreme Council of Ukraine.

According to the ombudsman, children with diseases of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system were deported by a plane of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“Throughout 2023, according to the Russian Federation, in this way it was possible to “rehabilitate and rehabilitate” 150 Ukrainian children who currently live in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk and Luhansk regions,” Dmytro Lubinets said.

He added that this was facilitated by the Russian President’s Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvov-Belova.

The ombudsman added that under the pretext of the need to provide medical assistance, the children receive new passports – Russian.
