Police officers of the Kyiv region have started training for officers of the educational security service. Already at the end of January, they will work in nine schools of the region.

According to the police of the Kyiv region, officers of the educational security service will appear in educational institutions that work in face-to-face and mixed modes.

While the new recruitment of education security officers is underway, their duties will be performed by current police officers.

The training of educational security service officers will last a week. Future specialists will acquire skills in the basic principles of providing first aid, as well as master the activities of educational institutions, the order of their functioning, study the basics of explosives in order to strengthen the ability to protect children during the educational process.

“The goal of the project is the organization of a safe educational environment under martial law conditions. The powers of the SOB officer will include the access regime at the school, communication with emergency services, calling the police and personal response to offenses, their termination, detention of offenders, preventive conversations”– explained the police of the Kyiv region.

It will be recalled that earlier it was assumed that the “School Security Officers” project would first be implemented in educational institutions close to the front line.

It became known at the beginning of December about the project, within the framework of which police officers are supposed to monitor order in schools.
