On August 11, a Russian rocket hit a private house in the Kolomiysk district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. 8-year-old Volodya died as a result of being hit. Bohdan Stanislavskyi, the mayor of Kolomyia, reported the loss. “Eight-year-old Volodya was killed by a Russian rocket. He was in the yard at the time of the attack and received numerous shrapnel wounds. They tried to save the child, but unfortunately…” he said. Our doctors fought for his life for more than two hours, but, unfortunately, without success,” Onyshchuk explained. The mayor said that the boy was born in the village of Tsenyava, later moved to Kolomyia with his parents. He graduated from kindergarten, and then went to study at Lyceum No. 2. “He graduated from second grade this year. He was a very inquisitive, diligent and cheerful child. This is a terrible and very painful loss. Sincere condolences to Volodya’s family. The whole community mourns with you,” added Bohdan Stanislavskyi. Due to the tragic death of the boy, days of mourning have been announced in the Kolomyia community on August 12 and 13.
