In Chernivtsi, the policewoman, whom the parents accused of bullying students of “Integral” lyceum, received a warning.
As reported in the National Police of the Chernivtsi region, a policewoman was disciplined due to incomplete official compliance.
“According to the results of the inspection, eight employees were brought to disciplinary responsibility, including employees of the executive branch of the Chernivtsi district police department and the National Police Service. Further service of the policewoman will not be related to children“, said the head of the Main Department of the National Police in the Chernivtsi region, Viktor Nechitaylo.
The press service of the Chernivtsi police in a comment for “UP. “Life” explained that all police officers can conduct conversations in schools, not only Juvenile Police officers. After all, according to the law on the National Police, every police officer has the right to carry out preventive activities.
As the mother of one of Olena’s lyceum students reported in a comment for “UP. Life”, the director of the educational institution was suspended from her duties during the official investigation conducted by the Department of Education.
In response to the request of “UP. Life”, the Office of the Education Ombudsman noted that they had read the audio recording, which contains possible signs of bullying of children by the policewoman and the headmistress.
“Unfortunately, during this incident, the teaching staff did not stop the bullying of the children. The students were not protected from him, which is unacceptable. This violates Article 53 of the Law of Ukraine “On Education“, the educational ombudsman noted.
The educational ombudsman service sent requests to the management of Chernivtsi gymnasium No. 5 “Integral”, the Department of Education of the Chernivtsi City Council, and the Department of Juvenile Prevention of the National Police of Ukraine to obtain the results of an official investigation into the illegal actions of a policewoman.
In addition, representatives of the Educational Ombudsman Service sent a letter to the State Education Quality Service of Ukraine with a request to unscheduledly inspect this educational institution for compliance with educational legislation.
We will remind you that on March 6, an audio recording of an “educational” conversation of a policewoman at Lyceum No. 5 “Integral” appeared on social networks, in which a woman can be heard humiliating children. Parents turned to the police and demanded the dismissal of the director educational institution.
