How refugees from the occupied territories can get the status of unemployed: the ombudsman explains
[ad_1]
Internally displaced persons who cannot quit their jobs due to the occupation of the territory can terminate their cooperation unilaterally. Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reports this. In order for internally displaced persons to be dismissed from work, an application must be submitted to the employment center at the place of residence or stay in the name of the employer. The date of termination of the employment contract is the day following the submission of the application. After submitting the document, the employment center on the day of termination of the employment contract must notify: the employer (by any means of communication, including electronic). If the employer is in an uncontrolled territory or there is no information about his whereabouts, the application is sent to the territorial body of the central executive authority in the controlled territory. The document is kept until the moment of deoccupation. After that, within 7 calendar days, this body notifies: the employer; territorial body of the Pension Fund of Ukraine; territorial body of the State Tax Service. If migrants do not have the documents necessary for granting the status of unemployed, they receive such status without additional requirements. Before receiving documents and information about periods of labor activity, wages, insurance experience and unemployment benefits are assigned in the minimum amount established by legislation in case of unemployment.
