Ukrainian Haitians have created a new fundraising platform Pixel Donateto raise funds for the reconstruction of schools destroyed by the Russians.

The website presented an interactive map of Ukraine, which consists of a million small bricks-pixels, the authors of the “UP. Life” idea told.

To donate funds for the restoration of education, you need to choose a pixel on the interactive map and its color.

With each purchased pixel, the map of Ukraine will come to life and acquire color, and each donation will speed up the reconstruction of safe educational spaces, say the initiators of the project.

One pixel costs one dollarand therefore, by painting Ukraine, donors will collect a million dollars for rebuilding schools.

The initiators of the project were Ukrainian philanthropists Kyrylo Kukuruza and Yuriy Kaleniuk, who themselves are parents of schoolchildren and the problem of education in Ukraine is just as painful for them. The CF.Digital agency provided project implementation and information support.

The project team collects funds for the needs of the partner international charity fund savED, which restores access to education in war-torn communities.

Now he works in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv regions.

As a basis, we took a pixel map on which everyone can record their contribution, become part of a big goal. We not only raise funds to restore educational spaces, but also give people a sense of inclusion and unity.

The global goal of the project is to close large collections for the implementation of social projects, giving donors the opportunity to see the entire process transparently – from collection to implementation.” – says Kyrylo Kukuruza.

In two years of full-scale war, the enemy destroyed or damaged every 7th school, and millions of schoolchildren faced obstacles in getting an education.

Schoolchildren lost the opportunity to study and communicate live, and many families of immigrants cannot return from abroad, because there is nowhere for their children to study at home.

“The enemy is purposefully destroying our schools and kindergartens, taking away children’s basic right to education. The consequences of this are already catastrophic today – children lose socialization skills and, as research shows, are years behind their peers abroad.

That is why it is necessary to rebuild and equip temporary schools, equip comfortable shelters and restore access to education today, without waiting for victory.” – adds co-founder of the savED charitable foundation Anon Novosad.
