In Canada, a silver coin was issued in the shape of an Easter egg, based on Tryplian motifs. All profits from the sale will be donated to help Ukrainians, the website of the Royal Canadian Mint reported. “The colorful reverse of the coin depicts a deeply symbolic art style rooted in an ancient tradition. With earthy colors, harvest motifs and shiny silver, your Easter egg is not only a reminder of our connection with nature, but also a symbol of continuity, harmony and connection life-giving bonds,” the mint emphasized. Easter coin The obverse of the coin depicts the profile of Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on September 8, 2022. The cost of one Easter egg is 139.95 Canadian dollars (approximately 3,990 UAH), and the denomination is 20 Canadian dollars. The total circulation is 7.5 thousand pieces. The coins sold out in a few days, in particular due to demand among collectors. The reverse of the coin, which depicts the Tripoli Easter egg, was created by the artist Natalie Keith. She depicted a central band surrounded by four parallel “lines of life” and combined it with solar symbols and weaving with seeds, which symbolizes the harvest. “Another pattern represents connection and continuity, filling the upper and lower bands where the grain is nourished by the rain. Above and below these bands, more lines of life bring strength and frame the powerful line of eternity,” the coin’s description on the website reads.
