At a dance festival in the German city of Dusseldorf, a Russian woman hit a Ukrainian woman and poured water on her. This was reported by Yulia Fedorova, a friend of the victim, who witnessed the incident. According to Yulia, the Russian dancer hit the Ukrainian woman and shouted at her, and also poured water on her. The reason for the Russian woman’s tantrum was probably the Ukrainian woman’s t-shirt, on which she found the inscription offensive. A Russian woman called a girl from Ukraine a “Nazi” and accused her of calling to kill Russians. Participants of the dance festival in Dusseldorf, Yulia also reported that the organizers of the dance event did not even try to understand the situation, but simply asked the Ukrainian and Russian women to leave the festival. “I consider it wrong for a person who was insulted for no reason. This war destroyed our lives. It took away many good people – my friends and their relatives. And I will not allow any Russian woman to insult Ukrainians. You can continue to say that dancing and art outside of politics, but the effect of Russian propaganda should not be underestimated,” says Yulia. The organizers of the festival in Germany reacted to the incident. They noted that they do not know who is to blame for the conflict, and believe that it is up to the police to figure it out. At the same time, the organizers said that they condemn the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, but they are not going to judge people by nationality, but only by specific actions.
