In Great Britain, they want to ban transgender women from staying in women’s hospital wards, and doctors plan to abandon the so-called gender-neutral language.
Health Minister Steve Barkley called the changes “a restoration of common sense,” reports The Telegraph.
If the changes are approved, men and women will have the right to care in wards with patients of their biological sex. as well as the right to intimate care by staff of the same sex.
The rules are slated to change due to patient and staff concerns about biological males being allowed into female hospital wards.

In 2021, the leadership of the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) claimed that trans patients could be placed in single-sex wards based on the gender they identify with.
According to the changes, transpatients will be housed in separate wards.
Mr Barkley is also frustrated by the “ideological dogma” in the health service where terms such as “breastfeeding” refer to pregnant “people” rather than women.
“We need a healthy approach to issues of gender and equality. That is why I am announcing proposals for clearer patient rights. The online advice pages for cervical and ovarian cancer and menopause have now fully restored gender-specific language. It is vital that women’s voices are heard and that the confidentiality, dignity and safety of all patients are protected.” – says the minister.
