In a video that has gone viral, a teacher can be seen telling the children to hit the boy harder on the back while he stands and cries. “Why do you hit him so weakly? Hit him harder. Hit him on the back… His face is red, so hit him on the back,” shouts the “educator”. The boy’s family said that he was beaten for making a mistake in the multiplication table. However, 60-year-old teacher Tripta Tyagi referred to the boy’s faith and spoke derogatorily of “Mohammedan children” when she initiated the beating.
