In the Italian city of Frosinone, a boy sentenced to house arrest ran away from home to prison because he did not want to celebrate Christmas alone.
Corriere della Sera writes about it.
24-year-old Mario was under house arrest for petty crimes.
On the eve of Christmas, the boy, without warning about his plan neither the judicial supervision nor his own lawyer, came to the gate of the prison of San Domenico and asked to be arrested.

He asked to spend the rest of his sentence in the company of other prisoners.
“INI am alone at home, so I prefer to spend Christmas here– said Mario.
It is said that prison police, puzzled by Mario’s statement, called in a military patrol, after which the boy was taken back home, returning him to house arrest.
It is known that in the coming days the investigators of the case should listen to Mario, allowing him to explain the reasons for his action.
According to the prisoner, he will ask to be placed in a cell next time, as required by law.
The boy will appear in court for escaping from house arrest.
