In Kryvyi Rih, a man defecated at the Heroes’ Memorial. The police informed him about suspicion of hooliganism.

The violator faces a fine or up to five years of imprisonment, reported in the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The crime took place on April 12 at around 11 p.m. According to law enforcement officers, a 30-year-old man in a state of alcohol intoxication approached the Heroes’ Memorial and “committed hooligan acts with particular cynicism.”

A video was published online showing how he relieves himself between stands with photos dedicated to the fallen defenders from Kryvyi Rih.

It is also heard that the man knows the operator and asks him not to shoot and delete the video.

As the communications inspector of the Kryvyi Rih District Police Department, Angelina Kradozhon, reported in a comment for “UP. Life”, the perpetrator had not been brought to justice before.

On April 15, the man was informed of suspicion under part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – “hooliganism, that is, gross violation of public order on the grounds of clear disrespect for society, accompanied by special audacity or exceptional cynicism.”

He faces punishment in the form of a fine from 17,000 to 34,000 hryvnias or probation supervision for up to five years or restriction of freedom for the same period.
