In Kyiv, a square can be named after the deceased teenage activist Dani Didik

In the “Kyiv Digital” application, voting is open on renaming one of the capital’s squares in honor of Dani Didik, a teenager who died during the 2015 Unity March. This was reported by activist Ruslan Horovy. “I ask everyone who remembers Danya to find time and vote. The number of votes in the voting should be such that no one has even the slightest doubt about the expediency of this. Because that’s how memory works,” he said. We will remind that the boy became a victim of a terrorist attack during the Unity March in Kharkiv. He died near the Sports Palace in February 2015. School No. 11 in his native Kharkiv will be renamed in memory of the young activist. The corresponding decision was taken at the end of January 2023. In the city of Pokrov in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the city council named the local children’s and youth sports school after Danylo Didik in 2018. And the musician and writer Ruslan Horovy founded the project “This is how memory works” in honor of Dana.
