A girl from Volyn was tried in Lviv, who in 2020 sold pornographic photos and videos on social networks. The Shevchenkiv District Court sentenced the girl to a one-year suspended sentence, according to the decision, Zaxid.Net reports. On Instagram, the girl communicated with men and offered to continue communication on Telegram, where she shared erotica, pornographic photos and videos. For access to the closed Telegram channel with 18+ content, it was necessary to pay UAH 350 per week, according to the case materials. One of the subscribers of the “blogger” – a pensioner who once worked as the chief inspector of the intellectual property protection department – reported the spread of frank content to the police. The man explained that he likes to look at pages in social networks. In 2020, he happened to see a girl’s page, became interested and started chatting. Later, he received an account number and a message that further communication is paid. His common-law wife found out about his antics and caused a scandal. Then he decided to inform the cyber police about such distribution of pornography and in the future gave voluntary consent to the documentation of his actions,” the case documents state. The man turned to the police – later the content was viewed in the presence of law enforcement officers. “After the scandal caused by his wife, he agreed to pay twice as much just to establish relations with her and stop the distribution of such pictures,” the court decision added. One of the witnesses was a DJ whom the girl met in a night club 7-8 years ago. They exchanged phone numbers, talked periodically, he was subscribed to her Instagram page. The boy also sent the money needed to watch the channel, but told the court that he did not watch the content. “Once a message came that the girl’s page would be closed and 350 UAH should be sent to support the channel. At the same time, the accused wrote that she had posted porn. He sent the mentioned amount to the specified account, since it was the period of the pandemic and he supported people who were signed. However, he did not view the content of the specified TV channel. Currently, he deleted the accused’s phone number,” the case states. The Shevchenkiv District Court found the girl guilty of Part 1 and Part 3 of Art. 301 of the Criminal Code (Import, manufacture, sale and distribution of pornographic objects) and initially sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment. Then, on the basis of Article 75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the girl was released from serving the sentence with a probationary period of 1 year. The blogger is obliged to periodically appear for registration with the authorized body on probation issues, to notify about a change of place of residence, work or study, and not to leave the borders of Ukraine without approval. The girl was also ordered to cover the costs of attracting experts – 4,249 hryvnias and 70 kopecks.
