In Lviv, a woman was injured due to an explosion of an LED lamp: how to prevent an accident

A resident of Lviv was injured as a result of an explosion of an LED lamp. This was reported in the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of the Lviv region. A 37-year-old woman suffered superficial corneal damage due to the fact that the battery in the LED lamp in her apartment exploded. After medical examination, the victim refused hospitalization. Consequences of the explosion A resident of Lviv received superficial damage to the cornea of the eye as a result of the explosion. Rescuers advise to follow the recommendations when using portable lighting equipment: buy only certified products; follow the manufacturer’s instructions; do not allow the lanterns to fall or get wet; do not use non-original or damaged chargers; periodically check the temperature of the battery: it may be warm, but not hot; do not use lights near the stove: the battery may overheat due to external influences and explode; you can’t put the lantern on charge unattended or at night.
