People’s deputy of Ukraine Nataliya Pipa filed a complaint with the police against a street musician who sang Viktor Tsoi’s songs in Lviv. The People’s Deputy spoke about the incident on Facebook. On June 2, 2023, in Lviv, a people’s deputy made a remark to a boy who performed Tsoi’s songs on the street. Natalia Pipa reminded him that it is forbidden to perform songs by Russian musicians in Ukraine. The boy, who was with a friend, reacted aggressively. He said that he came from Odesa, where everyone speaks Russian. “Odesa is fucked, more than Lviv. Why did you come to me for language, you went to hell! Tsoi is a legend of the year!” – claimed the musician. Then Natalia Pipa called the police and wrote a statement against the boy. In a comment to ZAXID.NET, Natalia Pipa explained that she had no complaints about the language, because it is not prohibited. “I had a comment about what the law forbids, namely the performance of Russian-language songs. And I started with a kind word. I asked them to stop singing and asked if they knew that Russian songs were prohibited. They sent me. I said that, if they do not understand good language, then we will continue to speak to the police. They are still minors, and unfortunately, they have the psychology of Soviet people,” Nataliya Pipa said. According to her, the police found out that the boys are minors, and one of them has dual citizenship. Both are registered in Odesa, one of them works in Lviv. “Unfortunately, there is no responsibility for Russian music now. I don’t even know if their actions fall under petty hooliganism,” Nataliya Pipa remarked. Later, the police of the Lviv region clarified in a comment to ZAXID.NET that only one of the boys is a minor, the one who actually performed Russian songs and cursed. He was placed in a shelter for children until his parents arrived. After that, they will resolve the issue of bringing him to administrative responsibility under Article 173 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (petty hooliganism).
