In Ukraine, for the first time, a system that works on the basis of artificial intelligence and helps to diagnose diseases or brain damage is being tested. The BrainScan pilot project was launched in Odesa, the Ministry of Health reports. The neural network analyzes computer tomography images in automatic mode and detects pathological changes. After five minutes, the doctor can decide how to treat the patient. Photo: Ministry of Health The Ministry of Health notes that the use of artificial intelligence for the analysis of CT scans of the brain has shown good results, such experience is already being used in frontline Kramatorsk in Donetsk region. “The future lies precisely in such technologies, which can be used in diagnostics as an independent expert “second opinion” for quick response and decision-making,” says Anastasia Mudrova, a radiologist of the highest category. It will be recalled that earlier artificial intelligence detected more cases of breast cancer than doctors with many years of experience.
