In Odesa, the state of drinking water and water from the Black Sea, which may be contaminated as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, was checked. As a result, as of July 4, the water in the Black Sea near Odessa meets the standards, the city’s official website reports. Employees of the state institution “Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine” took two samples of drinking water to check it for sanitary and microbiological indicators and one sample of drinking water for compliance with sanitary and chemical indicators. As a result, non-standard samples were not detected, the state institution notes. We previously reported that cholera-like vibrio, which can cause acute intestinal infections, was discovered in the Black Sea in Odesa as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP.
