A fan of crime series who killed a stranger “out of curiosity” was tried in South Korea.
A South Korean court has sentenced 23-year-old Jung Yoo-jung to life imprisonment, the BBC reports.
According to the police, the girl was obsessed with crime series and novels and scored high on psychopathy tests.
The woman was fixated on “trying herself as a killer.” She used the app to meet an English teacher and then stabbed her to death in her home.

The unemployed girl, who lived with her grandfather, spent months looking for victims using an online tutoring app, according to police.
She contacted more than 50 people, mostly women, and asked if they were teaching at home.
In May, she contacted a 26-year-old tutor from the city of Busan, introducing herself as the mother of a high school student who needed English lessons.
According to prosecutors, Jung Yu-jung showed up at the tutor’s house wearing a school uniform she bought online.
After the teacher let her in, she attacked the woman, stabbing her more than 100 times.
She then dismembered the woman’s body, called a taxi and took some of the remains to a remote riverside park north of Busan.
The girl was arrested after a taxi driver told the police about a customer who had thrown away a bloody suitcase in the woods.
Prosecutors demanded the death penalty, as for the most serious crimes, but the court imposed life imprisonment.
