In the Novgorod-Siversky District of Chernihiv Oblast, emergency workers rescued a horse that twisted its leg and fell into a cold river.

The incident took place on January 11, reports the Main Department of Emergency Services of Chernihiv Region.

Residents of Semenivka called the rescue service and said that a horse had fallen into the Drost River.

“With their own efforts, the owners and the local population were unable to pull the animal out of the water trap, so they turned to rescuers for help.” – they say in the department.

A team of five rescuers and special equipment arrived at the scene. It turned out that due to the injury, the animal cannot move at all.

The horse twisted its leg and fell into the cold river

“With the joint efforts of emergency workers and the local population, with the help of fire hoses and wide slings, the frozen animal was pulled to the shore”, – rescuers add.

The rescued horse was handed over to the owners.

The poor animal did not move, and the people could not pull it out on their own
