In the Chernivtsi region, the head of a private hospital, who is suspected of embezzling more than 15 million hryvnias allocated under the medical guarantee program, will be tried. This was reported in the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor’s Office. According to the investigation, the founder and director of the private medical center created a mechanism for seizing budget funds. He involved his wife and four employees of the center in this. The law enforcement officers established that throughout 2022, the center’s doctors submitted false information to the National Health Service of Ukraine regarding the provision of services to the population under PMG. Life”, the head of the National Service of Ukraine, Nataliya Husak, reported that the service is currently cooperating with the investigation, and in this case, the NSSU is acting as the injured party. In medical facilities that have signed a contract with the National Health Service, they provide free of charge: assistance in case of injury; treatment of premature babies; medical care in a hospital; some services at the National Cancer Institute, in particular, same-day surgery and elective and emergency surgeries are available; a range of medical services for the elderly.
