In the Kharkiv region, the police detained an 83-year-old man who is suspected of corrupting children in the section of hiking tourism for schoolchildren.
This man worked part-time as a janitor at an educational institution, Serhii Bolvinov, the head of the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, reports.
“It turned out that he molested 11-year-old girls in the gym during classes. All this happened at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. Then the children refused to go to the club. But due to fear and shame, they did not tell their parents the real reasons.
The story came out only when one of the girls dared to tell her mother.– writes Bolvinov.
The child told the law enforcement officers that during classes, the leader of the group stroked her private parts with his hands.
She tried to resist, to break free, but the suspect always did this when he dressed the children in hiking gear and disguised the molestation as help.

The girl’s classmate also testified. They also went to the tourist group and everyone insists: he did it on purpose.
The children removed his hands from themselves, openly showed that it was unpleasant for them.
But the man committed such sexual violence against sixth-graders more than once and took advantage of the fact that there were no other adults in the classes, says Bolvinov.
“The most terrible thing is that the staff of the lyceum, the head of the groups, the teachers sided with their colleague and give him the best characteristics. The investigators worked for a long time to prepare suspicion for this leader of the children’s group.
But in the end, we managed to collect enough evidence, we have already served a notice of suspicion of sexual violence against minors”– adds the policeman.
The suspect faces 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
The suspect is currently under 24-hour house arrest by the decision of the investigating judge.
“School and children’s groups are places where our children should feel completely safe and be protected as much as possible.
And I want to strongly advise all parents – communicate with children, build trust and talk about such topics. It is very important to explain from an early age that no one has the right to touch or force her to do anything, that this is unacceptable.”– adds the head of the GUNP.
We will remind, earlier in the Chernivtsi region, a man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the rape of a 14-year-old girl.
And in Transcarpathia, a man was arrested who is suspected of raping a 10-year-old stepdaughter.
