A man who raped and beat a woman for two days and also tried to cut her throat was detained in Kyiv region. The suspect turned out to be a local resident previously convicted of serious crimes who worked as a security guard, the police of the Kyiv region reported. According to law enforcement officers, the man met the victim near one of the houses in Bila Tserkva and invited her to work. In the guard room, he threatened the woman with murder if she refused to have sex with him and, against her will, did what he intended. “The victim begged to let her go, but the assailant, fearing exposure, stabbed the woman in the stomach, cut her throat and beat her on the head and body with his hands. The victim miraculously managed to escape after two days of torture,” said Andriy Nebytov, head of the Kyiv region police. Law enforcement officers spotted the injured woman on the street. She told everything that happened to her. The suspect was arrested and is currently in a detention center. He was informed of the suspicion of rape, illegal deprivation of liberty and intentional grievous bodily harm. The man faces up to 10 years behind bars. It is noted that the man was previously serving a sentence for murder and grievous bodily harm.
