The Ministry of Digital Transformation presented a map where you can check whether the provider is ready for possible blackouts.

According to the Ministry of Digital, you can also find the nearest provider prepared for power outages on the map and apply for connection to “be online” for up to 72 hours.

“This will enable Ukrainians to better prepare for winter and stay connected, work and study online even in blackouts.” – they say in the ministry.

The map was developed in cooperation with the public organization “LUN City”.

With its help you can:

  • check your provider’s readiness for power outages;
  • find the nearest providers that provide Internet from 4 to 72 hours;
  • find out the cost of connection and monthly fee for Internet services;
  • contact the provider and submit an application for connection to the Internet, resistant to power outages.

In addition, you can leave a review there about whether the Internet is really available from your provider during outages. It will be visible to other users.

Currently, the map is available for residents of Kyiv, but it is planned to scale it to other large cities of Ukraine.

Providers who provide Internet for more than 4 hours in conditions of blackouts, but are not yet included in the map, are encouraged to write to [email protected] with the subject of the letter “Sustainable Kyiv”.
