In the Rivne region, scientists will observe the trotter online using a special collar. This is necessary in order to learn more about a rare animal. This is reported by WWF-Ukraine. A male lynx weighs 22 kilograms. The animal, which the scientists named Boris, was fitted with a telemetry collar with a GPS-GSM transmitter. With the help of the device, scientists will study the movement, diet, seasonal and daily activity of the lynx, as well as: the length of the daily course; sizes of individual territories; breeding territories of this species (places where offspring appear and grow). Information from it will be transferred to a remote server to which scientists have access. Scientists note that such a study is being conducted on the territory of Ukrainian Polissia for the first time. Read also: 22 incredible photos of animals that are dying out.
